Hello to All at Alan Tours,
Thanks You so very much for an exceptional life enhancing experience on 2nd February with the Elephant Walk at Barefoot and the Addo Drive.
Barry was a superb guide and driving companion, as I sat in the front with him. He is a confident and safe driver which was much appreciated as he drove the rocky path to Barefoot and then between Barefoot and Addo, navigating the rough terrain with skill and ease as he answered my questions about Birds, Yellow Woods and various conservation actions that were going on, his knowledge really added to the richness of the trip, the amount of Yellow Woods being planted is staggering and brilliant.
He was excellent in the restaurant when the service was slow motivating the staff to get on with it in an assertive and polite way.
The Barefoot Walk was thrilling, well organized and a memory of a lifetime, the guides were great and gave us very good advice about being around the Elephants, their history and that feeding them was a ‘Thank You’ for taking time out of their day to be with us. It was a truly magical experience.
Addo was a feast for the eyes and Barry went all over finding Elephants, Zebra, Birds, Hartebeest and other Boks and it seemed he was a little disappointed that we didn’t see Lions or Hyenas or Buffalo, however, I was still overjoyed at walking with the Elephants and seeing so many Elephants at the watering holes, so we were all wonderfully satisfied and content.
We only left Addo at about 6pm and were astonished at how much we’d packed in to one day. Barry was chirpy great company, gave us regular updates on time and km on our drive so we knew how near we were, to our next destination, took photos all day long and gave us the time of our lives.
So again, Thank You for an exceptional memorable experience of delight, fun and excitement, me, my nephew Sam and his wife Gemma loved every minute of it.
