…To ensure the best sightings, head for the watering holes (pick up a map at the entrance), or take a private tour to get off the beaten track. Three-hour guided game drives in open-topped vehicles are also provided by the park. These are not as good as heading out with a private operator (such as Alan Fogarty ***, Tel. 041 378 1486 or 072 358 4634; www.alantours.co.za), but they’re cheap-just make sure it’s one of the smaller vehicles…….
