Lion, Lion, Lion!
No, I didn’t see any lions on the day of my tour with Alan Tours, despite our little group’s chant in an effort to make them appear, but a tremendous day was had nevertheless.
My first dealings with Alan Tours was via email through Angelika, Alan’s partner. All responses were prompt and friendly. On the day of the tour, Alan and Andrew collected myself (and two others) nice and early from my B&B. His vehicle was immaculately clean and there was bottled water on offer.
The trip to Addo did not take too long and Alan provides informative, yet informal, commentary enroute. Once at Addo, there was a quick comfort break first up and then into the Park to view some amazing animals and scenery.
A scrumptious light lunch at the Park’s cafe finished off the morning’s adventure nicely and then it was off again in search of more wildlife and those elusive lions. In fact, our search for those lions meant that by the time we left the Park, the sun was setting over it’s beautiful landscape with a wonderful gathering of the many animals we had seen that day.
