Review ofThe Original BIG 7 Safari – FD06
Quite last minute we booked the Big 7 tour with Alan tours in Addo Elephant Park and were happy, that they could accommodate us.
Andrew picked us up in the morning and was our guide for the day. There were no other guests so we enjoyed a private tour.
Andrew is a very nice and knowledgeable guy – he knows so much about Addo and its Flora & Fauna, but as well about Port Elizabeth and South Africa in general. We enjoyed chatting with him very much.
In the morning we had a boat tour and saw many dolphins and penguins, no whales (it isn’t the season).
After lunch we then drove to Addo and there we had the greatest day! We saw so many animals. Andrew always knew when and where what kind of animals could be encountered and he was also in contact with the other guides. If there was an interesting sighting near us we went over there.
We saw lions, many many elephants, zebras, buffalos, warthogs, ostriches, birds and beetles. Especially beautiful was how close we came to a big elephant family – they crossed the street right in front of us and we followed them for a while. Afterwards Andrew drove us to our Lodge.
The perfect day! Would definitevly recommed if you have only 1 day in PE or Addo and want to see much. Didn’t feel rushed.
We enjoyed it very much.
