Professional guided full day safari in open game drive vehicle – 12 to 13 hour safari
Your guide will pick you up at your place of residence in Hazyview, within a 5 km radius of the village or at the Phabeni entrance gate in an open game drive vehicle and depart for the Kruger National Park, home to the Big 5 (Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, Lion and Leopard) as well as a diverse variety of other plains animals such as antelope, Giraffe, Zebra, Wildebeest and over 600 different bird species.
After check in, we enter and immediately start our game viewing experience searching for the many and diverse creatures in the thickets and on the open plains while learning about the habitat in which they live. We stop early for a comfort and coffee break before once again exploring the park and what it has to offer.
The Kruger national park is an exciting and much loved birding destination with the jewel like Lilac breasted roller being arguably the most photographed bird in the country. Other sought after species are the massive Marshal and the dynamic Bateleur eagles. While around the water holes and rivers we keep an eye out for the largest stork in the world the elegant Saddle-billed stork and the impressive Yellow-billed stork. With over 500 species of birds listed in the Kruger park it is definitely a dream birding destination for both beginners and twitchers alike with many rarities to be found.
We stop to view the many sights and sounds of the wildlife found in the park with every day bringing new and exciting possibilities.
We break for breakfast at one of the park restaurants and continue our drive through the park, stopping at sightings and taking in the beautiful environment we find ourselves surrounded by. During the late morning and midday, many animals come out from their shelter, while the nocturnal predators find their resting place after what could have been a night of successful hunts.
After an exciting morning in the park, we stop for lunch at one of the park restaurants. We reminisce about the sights of the morning and the possibilities ahead before we continue on our drive.
As the afternoon progresses, we keep a keen watch on the wildlife, always alert to sightings of the fantastic bird, animal and reptile life that abounds in this beautiful game reserve. The southern areas of the Kruger Park are renowned for their lion and other predator sightings.
At the end of the tour, we will drop you back off at your accommodation.
