Walk in the expansive dune fields with uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean and Bird Island. Explore Khoikhoi middens: ancient heaps of millions of discarded seashells on this remote and awe-inspiring shoreline.
Wander through the shaded dune forest accompanied by the song of the rich forest birdlife while Vervet monkeys climb overhead.

8:00 am pick up at your place of residence in Port Elizabeth and depart for Woody Cape, the Eastern most point of Algoa Bay the largest protected bay in the southern hemisphere. 

We start with a walk in the expansive dune fields with uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean and Bird Island.

Explore Khoikhoi middens, ancient heaps of millions of discarded seashells on this remote but awe-inspiring shoreline.

Also, in addition to your hospitality, two things that really impressed me were your commitment to a sustainable (low environmental impact) tourism operation and your in-depth knowledge of both the natural and cultural environment.
We could have simply stood on those coastal sand dunes and admired the scenery while watching the whales splashing in the water. Instead, I came away with a memory of the scenery and an in depth understanding of the culture and anthropology of the early people who inhabited those dunes. Wow!

I booked two tours with Alan. The first a costal tour of Cape Recife and Woody Cape Dune fields absolutely blew me away. Alan's knowledge of the area is superior to any other and he was very enthusiastic and entertaining.
I was impressed at the speed at which emailed were replied to as I booked very last minute.
Also perfect for solo travellers as unlike other companies Alan was prepared to take me out on my own.
